Store Sales Policies
Bare Bones Software products are available directly from us, as well as through many major Macintosh resellers, catalogs, and stores.
Please note: Product version upgrades, site licenses, and special discounts are only available directly from Bare Bones Software.
All products are offered subject to the terms of the particular license agreement included with each product, and all sales are final. We offer functional demo versions of all our products which you may use to evaluate their function and suitability for your needs before purchase.
Most of our products are available exclusively for electronic delivery. When your order is processed, we will send you a serial number. Use this number to activate the demo version of your software.
BBEdit alone is also available for delivery on CD-ROM. If you order BBEdit for shipment, your package will include a BBEdit CD-ROM and a registration card.
(Note: BBEdit’s user manual is provided in PDF format. You can access it via the Help menu within BBEdit, or download the manual as a separate file from our web site.)
When ordering for shipment, you will have the option of requesting an advance download to receive serial numbers for the product(s) you are ordering in advance of shipment.
For those products that Bare Bones Software offers for online delivery (ESD), please note the following important stipulation:
Since your purchase receipt and serial number are only provided in electronic format, you should print or otherwise safely archive a copy of the email invoice you will receive after your order has been processed. This invoice will serve as your proof of purchase and eligibility for tech support, future upgrades, and special offers.
Naturally, we recommend Yojimbo as an excellent repository for purchase receipts and product serial numbers.
E-commerce services for our online store are provided by eSellerate, Inc. and may be placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For telephone or fax orders, our sales department processes orders Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm Eastern time. For your protection and ours, orders placed via phone or fax are individually reviewed by our sales staff and are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Review and processing normally requires 1 to 2 business days from receipt of the incoming order. (Nights, weekends, and holidays are not included in this estimate.)
Important: All of the estimated charges listed below are for single piece orders placed directly with us. The shipping charges for any order placed via our online store are determined by Digital River and will be displayed in your online shopping cart, and we cannot modify the charges or shipping method for such orders.
